Job Description:

We are a large, multi-floor dental office looking for a detail oriented, dependable maintenance specialist for the entire property. Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work requiring the knowledge of one or more skilled trades (e.g., construction, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, small equipment repair service…etc.) help maintain the facility for doctors, staff, and patients, keeping the facility in a safe and operating condition and perform preventive maintenance. This position is an average of 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform visual inspections of facility and grounds for cleanliness and possible repair needs.
  • Cleaning offices, hallways, stairwells and restrooms
  • Emptying garbage cans
  • Mowing the lawn, weed whacking and trimming hedges
  • Snow removal and salting
  • Changing AC/furnace filters
  • Receiving and distributing shipments and deliveries
  • Making minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs
  • Washing windows
  • Test devices, adjust, calibrate & repair equipment
  • Various housekeeping work will be performed (e.g., spill or leak clean up, mark, scuff and dirt removal, trash/debris removal, stocking supplies, etc.).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Requirements:

  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral or written instructions
  • The ability to communicate with doctors, staff, patients and tenants in a professional manner
  • The ability to climb ladders and do heavy lifting
  • Must possess good time-management skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to multi-task
  • The ability to work independently
  • Availability for after hours emergencies
  • The willingness to adjust your regular schedule to accommodate special projects
  • A valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Passing a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
